Barony Castle, an imposing manor house, is located 35 minutes south of Edinburgh on the Edge of the Scottish Borders. Built in 1536, surrounded by 25 acres of woodlands, gardens, waterfalls and ponds, this is an idyllic place to get away from the stresses of everyday life. Set in Peebleshire countryside and located just 17 miles from Edinburgh, we are ideally suited to those wanting a peaceful break with the option of being close to Edinburgh and the Scottish Borders. All you need is here! Please note: the hotel is undergoing some refurbishment work, due to be completed early March 2008. The areas affected are the bar and lounge, which are temporarily located in a marquee. This does not affect the leisure facilities which are open as usual.
